Patrick Chung, NFL player and Founder of the Chung Changing Lives Foundation, presented a $25,000 check to Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center on Monday, June 10, 2013 to sponsor the "Summer Music Academy for Real Teens" or S.M.A.R.T. program.
The "Summer Music Academy for Real Teens" is a 3-week music education program for youths ages 13 -- 18. These youths will learn and work with professional musicians to build skills such as music theory, songwriting, music synthesis, and more.
The S.M.A.R.T. program starts on Monday, July 8th and ends on Friday, July 26. The program runs Mondays to Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm at the BCNC (38 Ash St. Boston, MA 02111).
